For Such a Time as This.

The COVID Crisis may have recked havoc on our "normal" but in its wake there are NEW opportunities to step up and serve creatively. In anticipation of the growing need of vulnerable children and families, resolve to count yourself IN, "for such a time as this" Esther 4:14.

We placed two new care teams around new foster parents in the month prior to the crisis and it is such a blessing to know these families are being supported as they navigate virtual visits, kids all at home and working from home at the same time!

• Foster Parents Needed: more children will need care as the pressures of the economic impact cascade throughout our communities. The good news is you may be able to take advantage of the Online Certification Classes offered during this time of physical distancing. Classes begin April 20th.

• Care Teams Needed: Volunteer Training is going VIRTUAL! For partnering churches, volunteers may register for training to be held on Sunday, April 26th from 3:30-5pm via video call. Register HERE.

• Disaster Relief Support:  We anticipate more families and individuals will need temporary support for acute food or shelter instability. Our network of churches responds beautifully to needs when they are presented! The Federal government has reached out to a faith based national ministry, CarePortal, to help coordinate this expanded need for relief. We will be using their web based platform to be more efficient with handling those needs and ask for all our partnering churches to join the platform HERE to participate in our network of needs for foster children and their families in our community. Pray about these needs, find yourself stepping into these needs, support your church as they share these needs, consider GIVING as we have retooled and redoubled our efforts to get ahead of the curve on the needs we see growing in the coming months.
