In our area, like most of the state, we have seen the number of children in foster care double in the last three years. Thankfully, we have also seen an increase in the number of foster families. Half of our children in care are in foster homes while half of them are in kinship homes (relatives). These precious families need the support of our churches as they serve these vulnerable children. 

Help us spread the news in your local church to encourage families to become foster parents in our community. If every church in our community had a foster family there would be more than enough homes for the 160+ children in care.

This month decide to share the need with your church. Here are 4 ways you can help:

1. Share the FFM Overview (2 min.) or Be The Neighbor (1 min.) video at church, Bible Studies, small groups, Sunday School classes.
2. Host a local Foster Family to share at church, Bible studies, small groups or Sunday School classes.
3. Use the FFM bulletin inserts this month with the response form on the back. Collect filled out forms.
4. Have a special offering to give to the work of FFM, supporting churches as they grow their foster care ministry.
