Be a Holiday Hero.
You can be a Holiday Hero by joining our year-end giving campaign to help more foster children have a healing home in 2019.
In our area alone there are over 150 children who have been moved to a foster or kinship home. The number of children in foster care are increasing all across the country. When we began in 2016 there were 3 foster homes through our county, in 2018 we have over 21 foster homes. Several others have begun to foster through other counties and private agencies.
Here's a few things on our Christmas wish list:
$2,000 launches a foster care ministry in a local church.
$1,000 helps host a pizza and bowling party for our foster & kinship families
$300 gives a foster or kinship family a scholarship to attend a 4 day Caregiver training.
$100 provides 4 weighted lap pads to 4 foster children who need a "hug".
$50 gives a restaurant gift card for a family with a new placement.
A foster mom was overwhelmed by the beautiful clothes given for a toddler in her care--our volunteer's response was beautiful, "Gifts from God, I am just a vessel." Join her in being a Holiday Hero to a foster child!
