Are you home for Easter?

A beautiful story of adoption unfolded today. A woman who has struggled through life heard the truth of Easter. Her heart was longing for a place to call home, to find rest and peace and forgiveness for the burdens of her life.

She heard of a heavenly Father, God who loved her deeply and longed to have a relationship with her. She learned of Jesus who took the burden of all the wrong things she had done which for a time separated her from her own familly. He gave his life to pay the penalty for her wrong doings and rose victorious over sin and death and the grave.

So today we celebrate, not just a risen Savior but a beautiful adoption. This precious woman now has a relatioinship with her heavenly Father and will look forward to a home for eternity in heaven. Today, she became a child of God. Adopted. Forever. 

As you celebrated Easter today in whatever fashion is your family tradition, remember, you have a family. Our children from hard places need a family for a time. A family to heal, a family to love, a family to share with them the love of God, a Forever Father.
