New Year's resolutions are all about change...for the good. One resolution you can make is to get involved in changing the life of a foster child.
Our community, our state and our country has been overwhelmed in 2017 with the surging number of chidlren in foster care, due largely to the opiod crisis. The good news is our community has seen a dramatic increase in the number of foster families. As we enter 2018, we continue to seek more foster families and surround each foster family with a team of supportive friends.
Will you be one of those friends? Change your thinking from all the reasons why you can't to finding reasons why you WILL. Show a foster child you care by getting involved. In as little as two hours a month you can make a huge difference in a child's life.
To help with your new resolve to change and get involved in changing the life of a foster child forever we have scheduled a Volunteer Training for our community on January 23rd, from 6-8pm at Ashland Grace. Sign up, share with your church, and encourage others to get involved. TOGETHER we will be able to be the family of God to these foster families and children in their care.
Foster Families, ask your friends, your church to attend the training. Volunteers, share your experience with others and ask others to become involved. Pastors, share with your congregation. God will set the lonely in families as he promised in Psalms 68:6. Let them be set in our church families!
