As our hearts turn towards home during this holiday season I urge you to consider how you can help a child from hard places feel at home away from home.
Right now there are nearly 130 children in our county alone who have been removed from their home. They are learning to be at home in a new family to receive the love, care and support they need.
Your financial gift will support our foster families with resources to be healing homes for these children. It will train volunteers to become the extended family to support the foster family even through the holiday season.
Equally important is your gift of time. Would you give a couple of hours a month to bring one meal, to help with homework, or to be a foster friend supporting a child in care?
Take time today to kick of our Christmas season with a gift to make a home for a child in need. As we close 2017, we desire to help children in foster care in our county feel at home through the support of our partnering churches and volunteers.
Truly, there's no place like home for the holidays!
