This month of November is National Adoption Awareness month In the United States there are over 400,000 children who are temporary orphans in the foster care system. Of that number, more than 100,000 are waiting to be adopted today.
In Ashland County alone we have over 120 children in foster care. There are 25 children who are waiting for their forever home. Some of you have been called by God to make a difference as a foster or adoptive family. You may also have people in your church who have been considering fostering or adopting. Take time this month to share with your church the plight of our children in need and the difference the church can make.
Share our 2 minute video explaining the need the clear solution the church is already equipped to provide.
If you have not been called to foster or adopt there is one thing you must do. Currently we have many children placed in foster families and in relatives homes. Have you ever considered adopting a family? Taking the time to support a foster family or relatives caring for children in need is an expression of the love of God. We need to have a church for every child in care.
Volunteer to adopt a family, decide to make a meal once a month, help a child with school work, be a foster grandparent or aunt or uncle.
