Many hands make light work
Sherry Bouquet February 20, 2017
What a beautiful sight to behold when the body of Christ serves children from hard places together. At the beginning of February we had the privilege to wrap a care team from Trinity Lutheran Church around an Ashland Foster Family after a placement of a precious infant. JoEllen, Ruth Ann and Karen helped secure material needs like clothes and diapers as well as set up a weekly meal for the family. The placement lasted only two weeks and the care team is now able to support the foster family in their transition with cards and calls of encouragement. Many hands make light work…and although caring for an infant takes a great deal of time these volunteers were able to help lighten the load. Have you thought of volunteering your time by serving a foster family? Have you considered becoming a foster family? Take time to check out the ways you and your church can become involved in Foster Care Ministry in our county by checking out our overview video below. Share our overview video on the home page of our website with your church and allow them to sign up to serve with this bulletin insert. If you church family is willing to make a local impact and energize your congregation by making a difference then check out our website www.fosteringfamilyministries.org. Our goal is to come along side you, equipping your church to develop your own foster care ministry. Our next Volunteer Training is scheduled for Thursday, March 2 from 6:30-8:30pm at Bethel in Savannah. Share this flyer for those who want to serve now. Please use our contact form to sign up.
